EVENT PREVIEW: Red Bull takes over LA: 30 Days In LA
I’m convinced the world is addicted to buying energy drinks. How else could Redbull produce so many promotional events, both music and sports, on the global level that they do annually?!? It's crazy! And what they have lined up in Los Angeles for the month of November alone is enough to make you stop and say “What the flugtag!”
30 Days In LA is exactly that, 30 days of concerts and events lined up each night across the sprawling city of Los Angeles. The calendar features enough to tackle every cool set of the city at least a few times during month. Hip-Hop? You can catch Run The Jewels (13th), Chance The Rapper (15th) and Juicy J (25th). Indie Rock? Make sure you go experience Courtney Barnett (4th), The Head And The Heart (22nd) and Chet Faker (29th). Are DJ’s more your thing? No problem, there’s the famous LA based Do-Over party on the 28th doing their annual post Thanks Giving “The Left-Over” event.
WHAT?! You want activities? Ok ok, there’s Turn Table Tennis (11th), Rock and Bowl, Turkey Shootout (27th) and even K-Town Karaoke Throwdown (8th). And if you need to stimulate your brain in a more high brow setting make sure you check out Wax On Wax DJ night celebrating vinyl at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum (5th), A Night At Sonos Studios featuring a discussion about emerging trends in music (10th), or get your nerd on with a screening of This Is Spinal Tap at The Drive-In Turned To Eleven.
There's much more that I haven't mentioned and it all kicks off after Halloween on Saturday, November 1st with an outdoor concert headlined by Australian Dance Alt-Rockers, Cut Copy, in Downtown. For more event details, venues, times ticket prices and all other things pertinent go to Redbull.com and start planning your November now.
