LIVE: 6th Annual MojaMoja Brunch and Benefit Concert (LA)

We all love when we can party with a purpose and we did just that at The 6th Annual MOJAMOJA Brunch and Benefit Concert presented by 89.9 KCRW in Los Angeles during Grammy weekend was hosted by Actress Nadine Velazquez, MOJAMOJA curator Garth Trinidad and KCRW DJ Aaron Byrd.  The event also raised awareness for Oxfam America and Potential Energy, formally the Darfur Stoves Project.  You can always count on hearing quality music from all genres, this year’s line up featured: Grammy Nominees Hiatus Kaiyote, Kelela, Rhye, DJ Cut Chemist, Irene Diaz, Boogaloo Assassins and the Kin—if you aren’t familiar with these artist we suggest you get acquainted.

The MOJAMOJA ENCORE afterparty at the Bardot at the Avalon Hollywood had even more performances from Soul/Blues band Boom Boom Boom, Mark de Clive-Lowe featuring Nia Andrews, Grammy nominees The Hot 8 Brass Band, Questlove from The Roots, as well as a surprise performance by Brazilian singer Seu Jorge.
