The Couch Sessions

While the Couch Sessions crew is out in Austin, TX for this year's SXSW Music Festival, we obviously need a soundtrack highlighting a few of our favorite artists we plan to see in ATX. Leave it to Staten Island-bred DJ and Producer Run P. to release the first installation of his “Righteous Jones” mix series. "Righteous Jones," is a 37-track compilation of hip hop, soul and electro’s most genre-bending songs we know, love or have yet to discover. "Righteous Jones", picks up where "futuresextrapsounds" left off featuring an exclusive unreleased song from Philly producer M31RK's self titled EP, a track from up-and-coming Indianapolis MC Flaco , sounds from Soulection producer Mr. Carmack, and a bevy of other artists including Kendrick Lamar, !llmind, Chance the Rapper, Nas, Dead Prez and Big K.R.I.T.

We’ll be checking out Run P. down at SXSW sitting on a panel and spinning at Ableton Spaces: SXSW 2014 on Thursday, March 13, featuring J.Period, Giraffage, AbJo, and starRo as well as the The Indie Life Showcase at Bat Bar on Friday, March 14featuring Twista, Freeway, Problem, and Skyzoo + Torae as the Barrel Brothers.
