Corona's Electric Beach Brings House To Hollywood's Skybar in LA

It is November and it’s still pool season in LA!  Yeah it’s in the 80s and cool but that is never a deterrent for those seeking to be in the hottest of venues.  Corona set up for their Electric Beach series’ Day Of The Dead at the Sunset Strip’s legendary Skybar located in the pool area of The Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood.  Hollywood's Beautiful people were in attendance relaxing to House vibes and sipping on either Coronas or bottle service champagne to close out the Halloween weekend properly.

NorCal’s Blackbird Blackbird typically tours with a band playing his blend of bass heavy remixes and originals that range from Trap to House.  Today he’s stripped down to 2 CDJ turntables and a thumb drive loaded with Deep grooves, a vibe ideal for poolside dancing in view of the Los Angeles skyline.  When asked about doing corporate sponsored gigs he is not turned off by the idea since so many companies like Corona are doing their homework and curating some quality experiences for both the people in attendance and talent involved.

With a bold sunset as the backdrop, Bag Raiders closed out the night, prompting the crowd to rush the floor and get a dance in before closing time.   The Australian duo were producing Indie Dance before it was a recognized sub-genre.  The style blends House and 80’s influenced synth tones that play like jam to the Electric Beach’s peanut butter.  With the boy’s preference to grooves over big drops, the momentum was steady into the night before spinning their now classic single, “Shooting Star”, and leaving the booth to dance with their fans.

Corona will be holding their final Electric Beach event of 2015 on December 5th in Miami Beach, FL with DJ Craze and Astronomar.
