MUSIC: Fader Fort at 2016 SXSW

Another SXSW, another Fader Fort. While still heavily indebted to SXSW Fader Fort has morphed into its own beast of a mini-festival over the years and this iteration was no different. You had up and comers like Goldlink on the same stage that current rap overlord Drake would destroy only a couple of hours later (not before a string of his OVO label artists like Majid Jordan perform first though). Free alcohol provided by Budweiser and Jack Daniels flowed (along with hydration provided by Red Bull) and Converse was omnipresent a both their photo tent and on various concert attendee's feet. Fader Fort has always thrown shows where the line between performer and audience has blurred and it's no pretentiousness approach to good performances is what makes it a success each and every time.
