LIVE: Slowdive at The House of Vans

The bittersweet send-off celebrations for Brooklyn’s House Of Vans continued with shoegaze greats Slowdive on 6/29. It was a balmy Saturday evening but the crowd was in good spirits with the alcohol flowing (along with the important free bottles of water) to keep everyone hydrated.

First up was Farrows. With both male and female vocalists to draw from their mellow but meticulously blended indie rock and dance music kept the crowd entertained. Vorhees came on afterwards with loops, heady guitar work, and hard-hitting 808 bass drum machine hits. Finally Slowdive hit the ground running, bathing room with their light show and their southing sounds of reverb drenched melodies.
