MIXTAPE: Paul Brown - Nobody Special

In an era where new music infiltrates our smartphones and iPods literally every minute of the day, the chance of one hearing every artist the world has to offer is slim to none. What’s dope, and in retrospect a flaw, about hip-hop is that anyone who chooses to rap can do so, which often causes the listener to sift through the quantity to locate the quality.
However, South Jersey’s own Paul Brown is one artist to keep an eye on as we wind into 2012’s 4th quarter. One of my closest friends introduced me to the young MC’s Nobody Special mixtape and needless to say, it’s quickly become one of my favorite projects of the year. Brown’s equipped with an original sound and voice, and leaves no stone unturned, covering an array of topics throughout the 14-track tape. Take a listen; trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
