MUSIC: Andy Stott - Faith In Strangers

Andy Stott's been traffic in extremely bass heavy future focused music for a few years now, and he's just dropped his latest LP Faith In Strangers. It's quite a bit of a journey; it starts off almost whisper quiet and minimalist "Time Away" but thing quickly ramp up to the point where blown out bass samples, jungles, noise, and dozens of other sounds build over the record's 9 tracks into one major statement. Stott's always had a way with making singular tracks, but as far as a collection of songs is concerned this is his most cohesive work, and probably his best.
