MUSIC: CyHi The Prynce - Elephant In the Room

Remember GOOD music friday's? Before Kanye West released his opus My Dark Twisted Fantasy, for months he would release tracks collaborative tracks from artists on his label on a weekly basis. During that period they released enough material to fill an album (and probably should have released those tracks instead of the surprisingly boring Cruel Summer) and one big part of those tracks was CyHi The Prynce. CyHi has been sitting in the wings since then with very sporadic releases to his name caught up in a weird limbo that many artists find themselves where their record label won’t release their stuff. To piggyback off a week of beefs, CyHi has released “Elephant In The Room” where he threatens Kanye West pretty much over the entire length of the song. While it’s not at a Meek Mil level of miss its odd duck of a diss track. CyHi threatens West with physical violence(along with some not nice words about his wife) but apparently thinks if he peppers it with some tongue in cheek samples (and a “I hope we are still cool after this” line) it won’t come off as harsh as it actually is. It’s actually a pretty good track, subject matter aside, and you can listen to it below.
