MUSIC: Despot - House of Bricks

Despot is the hardest working rapper who doesn't have anything actually out. It hasn't affected his visibility at all; he's toured relentlessly for the past few years and you can hear him pop up on more then a few tracks produced by his wide circle of MC affiliates (Despot, Heems, Mr. eXquire). We finally have a studio version of "House of Bricks" a track he's performed live for a couple of years now. It's got production by one half of Ratatat (who also have a project coming out after a long hiatus). While Despot follows the Dr.Dre Detox method of album releasing the reason we still check for him is because he remains a solid ass MC, with great beat selection. This track is probably a few years old but still sounds current and sharp. Hopefully its a warning shot for new music from him. Listen below.
