While this week has been a rough one for blue eyed soul its time for us to take a step back and appreciate the tunes that our easily tanned brethren has given the world through pop, rock and R&B. To help us show a little appreciation we've got DJ Cuzzin B’s “Average White Mixtape #5”.

It’s a long running series that focuses on the soul, rock and R&B songs that have become the soundtrack to many of our lives. If you're holding hands on a date wondering how this wonderful person came into your life he's got Tears for Fears "Head Over Heels". When its time to walk down the aisle, he's got Sam Smith "Safe With Me". And after your divorce when you're driving to your ex's to tell the off one last time he's got Pat Benatar/Pete Rock "Love Is a Battlefield" Cuzzin B edit. It’s a way to pay tribute to the music that influences many of our artists today, no matter what their color. And despite it’s moniker it shows that good music is truly colorblind.
