Toronto is that next city to blow up, with Kardinal already a star and Drake on his way to further put the  city on the map. On the R&B side, however, you better take notice of Ayah.
The T.O.-based singer/songwriter/composer has been making waves on the her native city for a hot minute now, and her Problem Woman mixtape which dropped last summer made her official on the blog side. This month, however, she made it real official by dropping her latest album, entitled 4:15.
With production that spans from T.O. native Slackah the Beatchild to DJ Jazzy Jeff, Ayah's latest foray into the crowded R&B scene blends her deep lyrics of self reflection with some soulful instrumentals. The tracks I've heard so far pop off real well, and her album is going to be a good look for your collection.
