Rosalia Ups The Ante With Her "Fucking Money Man" EP

I’ve been captivated by Rosalia for a while now. Her rise is pretty interesting...Spanish flamenco singer switches up her sound to pop, then connects with J Balvin and now poised to be the hottest pop star in the Spanish-speaking world. (y’all might know her for her collab with James Blake) Her music and production are solid and her videos are some of the most creative and colorful productions I’ve seen since the Hype Williams era. 

Fucking Money Man is her latest EP, which she launched by taking out a ballsy full page ad in national Spanish newspaper El Pais. The EP consists of two songs, the banger-esque "Milionària," a pop song that calls out extreme wealth, and the flamenco-tinged “Dio$ No$ Libre del Dinero,” whose title translates as “God Free Us From Money.”  The Greenbacked-themed duo of songs is not some type of Communist diatribe, however.....it's more a cautionary tale against our super aspirational pop culture.

It's 2019, and to be a pop star you have to push a few buttons (take notest Taylor). Rosalia is doing that, and more with her latest release.
