ART: KANO at Fresthetic

Couch Sessions dropped into the dope kaNO retrospective show at Fresthetic in Brooklyn.  Aptly titled "Coast to Coast" - kaNO explains that though he was born and raised in New York City, his work now always has him traversing back and forth between NY and LA.

His physical movement even mirrors his artistic style, which is always switching between mediums to keep it fresh - from animation drawings and graf paintings, to vinyl toys and object design.  kaNO's distinct urban stylized aesthetic has definitely made a name for himself across multiple disciplines of the art world.

When asked how he got his start, kaNO laughs and muses that he has always made stuff, but never thought he'd make it to where he has today.  His driving force behind everything is that "as an artist you always try to fill a creative void".
