EVENT PREVIEW: DC's Capitol Bacon Festival [9/20]

If there is one thing that we know, AMERICA LOVES BACON.  Whether it’s stuffed inside of an omelet, wrapped around a savory scallop or premium cut of meat, or on top of a maple glazed doughnut, it’s just better with bacon.  On Saturday, September 20, 2014, the Capitol Bacon Festival will take place at Half Street Fairgrounds near Nationals Park.  The bountiful bacon block party will showcase the DC Bacon Off cooking competition between area chefs, live music from local bands, cooking and cocktail demos, a bacon eating competition, full service bars, and most importantly, food including the AMERICA LOVES BACON Bacon on a Stick and Bacon Slider Booths.  This event is sure to sell out.
