One of the greatest, and perhaps often not so great things about New York is how it's always changing. Change is a bad thing when your favorite bar or restaurant closes, but it's great when you walk by something you thought you knew and see something new and great has opened up. This is how I felt walking by Baci e Vendetta today.

Walking home from a day spent uptown with my family for Easter, my boyfriend and I came across Baci e Vendetta. It was 82 degrees outside and the windows were all open and everyone seemed to be sharing a bottle of wine. I had been to this place before, back when it was part of Ten Degrees and while that was a cozy French bistro inspired restaurant, Baci e Vendetta seems very similar, but even better and perfectly made for the warm weather. The interior is still as inviting, but they have switched out the dark color scheme of red and black for white.

We didn't intend on going out, but we couldn't help ourselves when we saw a sign that read bottles of wine are half priced on Sundays from 4pm to close. Sold.

There is nothing better than sharing a bottle of wine and people watching on Avenue A in the sunshine, or at least not that I can think of right now. While we didn't have any food, because we were just coming from a late Easter lunch, I can't wait to go back and try it out. And considering this place is a mere block from our apartment, I have a feeling that time is going to be sooner rather than later.

There are few deals like this that I've seen--wine can be oddly expensive when you aren't in your living room. But I can't wait to spend many summer nights here, sipping wine and enjoying the scene of Alphabet City.
