DRINK: Whiskey in the Wintertime

DSC_0661

Davis Square's Saloon celebrates local whiskeys this week during the upcoming installment of their monthly whiskey class. Turns out, the Boston area has a long history with distilling and current spirits czars are still producing the hard (and tasty) stuff. From as far away as the Berkshires to as close as the city itself, there are wonderful whiskies to be found around Beantown. If you can't make it to the class (they sell out quickly), keep an eye out for next month and for these local labels at your liquor store. Better yet, grab a designated driver and go for a visit. The foliage is great this time of year.
