EVENT PREVIEW: The Brew Hop 5K + Craft Beer Festival

Being healthy is great, but after a workout, sometimes you just want a nice cold beer. Luckily for us, the Brew Hop 5K + Craft Beer Festival is the perfect event for runner/drinker types - following a 5K around Randall's Island, runners can enjoy all kinds of beer as a post run treat. Not a runner? No problem - tickets are available for those who are just there for the drinks.

Both runners and those who prefer to remain as immobile as possible will be able to enjoy beer samples from a number of featured breweries including Brooklyn Brewery, Sixpoint Brewery, SingleCut Beersmiths, Third Rail Beer, Bronx Brewery, Gun Hill Brewing Company, Rockaway Brewing, KelSo Beer Company, Alphabet City Brewing, Blue Point Brewing Company, Great South Bay Brewery, Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, and more to be announced.

After the race, everyone can enjoy live music, games, food trucks, vendors, and more, including some surprises. VIP ticket options are also available if you want a fancier experience (private bathrooms, massages, even a waitstaff who will get beers for you if you're tired of moving).

10% of the proceeds go to City Harvest, so whether you run or not, you'll be helping the world's first food rescue organization.
