FOOD: Bill's Bar & Burger [NYC]

After working in Midtown for a few months now, I have come to realize that the food around here can be pretty bad. And if it's not necessarily bad, it's just meh and generic. Everything here is a chain and now I understand why it's the worst.
My dad wanted to come in for dinner the other night and since he takes MetroNorth to get here, it made sense to go somewhere around my office and Grand Central. I did a quick Yelp search and came across Bill's Bar & Burger and figured that might be our best bet and a safe choice. I didn't know they had a location on West 51st but it proved to be exactly what we were looking for.
First of all, this place is huge. There's an upstairs and a downstairs with a decently large bar where you can wait for a table. We didn't have to wait long at all and they actually sat us down before we were all there, which is sometimes unheard of in New York and can be really frustrating (although I do understand the reasoning behind it!).
The beer list is endless here and the burgers are huge. I shared a burger and a salad, which was also very good, and had a couple of ciders. Bill's Bar & Burger was exactly what we wanted and is such a great option for Midtown!
