FOOD: Bottomless Brunch at George Street Ale House [New Brunswick, NJ]

In a world where certain Debbie Downers are trying to eliminate the concept of bottomless brunch, George Street Ale House prevails in their efforts to keep us happy and buzzed during the weekend daylight hours. I recently popped into George Street Ale House on a chilly winter Sunday where you can get your breakfast/lunch mix-up while washing it down with unlimited mimosas or Bloody Marys for only $22.

Bottomless Mimoas and Bloody Marys
George Street Ale House has a lively, bar atmosphere with plenty of space and tables for diners to have a seat with friends. Brunch kicks off on Saturdays and Sundays at 12 p.m. and gives you three hours to munch on any menu item with bottomless brunch beverages. The options are plentiful with breakfast options like classic or stuffed French toast, omelets, steak and eggs, or their tasty breakfast wrap. Fluffy eggs and fresh vegetables in various forms sidled up to zesty potatoes make the perfect pair with your midday cocktails.

The Breakfast Wrap
While there is breakfast-a-plenty at George Street Ale House, they put the "unch" in "brunch" with delectable soups, salads, wraps, sandwiches, and burgers. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap is one of my favorites with fresh, juicy chicken tossed in a spicy sweet buffalo sauce, rolled up with blue cheese crumbles, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Vegetable enthusiasts would enjoy the hearty Portobello Mushroom wrap which is stuffed with roasted red peppers, portobello mushrooms, fresh mozzarella, balsamic vinegar, lettuce, tomato, and onion.

Their wraps are given the panini press of love, melting all the ingredients into one harmonious roll-up. To make the "unch" in brunch even better, they give you 11 different options to choose as your side (a handful have a small up charge). The only problem is that you now have to choose between options like parmesan truffle fries, fried pickles, and apple & goat salad.
While brunch is my absolute favorite way to take advantage of a special, George Street Ale House has ways to get your snack and drink on at a discounted prices every day of the week--all day happy hour Mondays, Taco Tuesdays, and half price wine Wednesdays to name a few. And while you might not necessarily find yourself in New Brunswick often, George Street Ale House is only a few blocks  from Route 18--just make sure you are not the one polishing off the pitcher of mimosas before hitting that highway.
