FOOD: Edible Manhattan's The Big Chill [Brooklyn]

0604-BigChill-600x600

Edible Manhattan is not only a great food magazine, but they also happen to throw really fun events in the city and Brooklyn.  I was lucky enough to attend their Good Spirit event a few months ago and next Monday, June 23rd join me in Brooklyn for The Big Chill!

The Big Chill is part of Edible's Eat Drink Local week, which sounds like a really fun idea.  I love checking out local spots--New York has such amazing local food it's hard not to!

The menu looks interesting, I'm not going to lie.  The night includes the food below as well as Lager, EIPA, and Summer Ale from Brooklyn Brewery.  And did I mention that the event takes place there as well?  Pretty cool if you ask me.  See what I did there?

• Cold borscht shots with picked beets, green cabbage and horseradish crème fraîche

• Chicken liver terrine with ver jus gelée and tart pickles

• Open face gravlax with sauce gribiche on Russian black bread

• Oil poached leeks with mustard vinaigrette

• Tomato and wax bean salad

• Ice cream sandwiches

Mondays are the worst, so you may as well make the most of it!  And this is an excellent start.
