FOOD: Falanghina [NYC]

As part of my newest and most exciting quest to discover great new places to eat in my new neighborhood, Falanghina on St. Mark's and Avenue A caught my eye.

It's a cozy little spot on a busy street that struck me as perfect for this incredible Fall-like weather we've been having.  Pizza is one of my all time favorite foods, and when pizza is done like this, there's nothing better.

In an effort to not to go Motorino for the upteenth time, Falanghina is a really nice alternative.  If you're in the mood for "fancy" pizza, or plain, definitely swing by this ultra cozy spot.

I shared the pizza above, which was a special that included figs, proscuitto, and smoked mozzarella.  The figs offered a nice sweetness and the proscuitto was perfectly salty and smoked mozzarella is just beyond amazing.  My friend and I shared this and a meat and cheese appetizer which was the perfect amount of food.

Great pizza, cozy atmosphere, amazing location--what more could you want?
