Hope Garage is all about American comfort food in a casual setting. Reconstructed from an old garage, the front “garage door” now serves as a window that opens the restaurant to the outside, allowing an inside/outside dining feel. The full bar offers craft beers, sangria, and homemade cocktail syrups for one of a kind drinks. Drink names pay homage to the surrounding streets of the neighborhood with cocktails called the Grand Street, Powers Street, and Union Ave.
The kitchen is open for brunch, lunch and dinner and serves food into the late hours of the night throughout the week. The dinner menu offers small plates which include dishes like Baked Vermont Cheddar Mac and Cheese and Grilled Shrimp and Chorizo Skewers, sandwiches including Pork Belly BLT and entrees that span from steak to fish to pasta primavera.

What stands out on their menu is their brunch, which takes the wholesome Americana breakfast to the next level. Hope Garage finds a balance between brunch favorites mixed with a little something extra to set them apart. The menu includes Fried Chicken and Waffles which come with boneless chicken and are served with their out of the ordinary maple butter which is infused with maple syrup. The butter alone is enough of a reason to order this plate and their bread basket which comes with homemade cornbread, biscuits, and muffins.
A few other standout dishes include the Banana Foster French Toast which comes topped with walnuts and dripping with a homemade maple foster syrup. The Potato Croquette is plated with 3 large creamy croquettes filled with sausage, cheddar cheese, and a side of sun dried tomato dipping sauce to complement. The rest of the menu rounds out with Steak and Eggs, Belgian Waffle with fruit, and Brunch Wings with buffalo sauce.
With $5 mimosas and bellinis with brunch and a kitchen open until 4am, Hope Garage is ready to serve at any time, with or without a World Cup game showing in the background.
