Touting a recent James Beard Award Finalist Rising Star of the Year nod, Erik Bruner-Yang of the recently opened Maketto and megahit Toki Underground is one of the hardest working men in the business.  With upcoming events at SxSW, The Emporiyum in Baltimore, and SWEETLIFE: a sweet green festival, Erik provides numerous opportunities for the world to devour his food.  Aaron Silverman is no slouch either.  After being crowned king by Bon Appetit and GQ Magazine, the Rose’s Luxury culinary star has not let his success satiate his drive.  He is currently working on another restaurant on Barracks Row.  And John Copeland of Ghibbelina can proudly puff his chest out with the success of current restaurant as well as former stints at Palena and Michelin-star NYC destination, The Spotted Pig.

For one night, three of the biggest names in the industry and the District came together to create ambrosia for the gods.  Well, not quite.  But they mashed it up in remembrance of their deceased friend, Thang Le, the former chef at Toki Underground, Momofuku, and more.  Diners could bypass the elements and epic wait times and simply enjoy the culinary creativity of Erik Bruner-Yang, John Copeland, and Aaron Silverman. A portion of the proceeds were donated to To Write Love On Her Arms (TWLOHA), a non-profit focused on helping people with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide.
