FOOD: Verboten Brunch [Brooklyn]
Want to take your Sunday brunch to the next level? Head over to Verboten where they are not only serving up great music by different DJs each Sunday, but creative cocktails and a stellar brunch menu.
Brunch at Verboten debuted in May but I finally made my way over this weekend to check it out and had a great time. The cocktails are $14--standard for a club, but they were incredibly inventive and delicious. One that caught my eye but sort of had my doubts included bourbon, root beer, vanilla ice cream, and wait for it...bacon bits on the rim. Perhaps next time I'll bite the bullet and give it a try.
The burger was the perfect way to fuel up before dancing the day away and the side of tater tots certainly hit the spot. The crab cakes also looked amazing and I'm excited to come again! If you're looking for a super fun brunch to impress friends from out of town, this is the perfect way to do it. And best part, no cover.
