FASHION: Amy Winehouse x Fred Perry (Fall 2011 Lookbook)
Whether you loved it, hated it, or was simply confused by it; there's no denying that the late Amy Winehouse had a sense of style that that made heads turn.
Before her death, the singer collaborated with the preppy British label, Fred Perry for a retro-inspired collection that was released last Fall (which she is seen wearing above). According to a Perry marketing rep, “Amy gave crucial input on proportion color and fit, and the range clearly has Amy’s handwriting [written all over it].” However, with the singer's sudden passing, it was unclear if any further collections would be released, even though Amy told Harper’s Bazaar that they’d “pretty much done like up to autumn/winter 2012.”
Well, the collection has indeed arrived via a new Fall Lookbook, and it is comprised of 27 pieces including accessories, which (unsurprisingly) is full of houndstooth & plaid, & no color at all (typical Amy style). The Amy Winehouse x Fred Perry clothing collection will be sold with the blessing of Amy’s family and to the benefit of the soon to be established Amy Winehouse Foundation. Check out a few of the pieces below.
